When COVID-19 first started and quarantine became the new way of life, I decided to take social distancing to the next level. If I could do college and work from my laptop, why not do it from some of America's most beautiful, remote places? Since then, I converted a van (who I named "Vinny"), and have driven through 47 US states. In between college courses and work online, I hiked, camped, and backpacked in several states, as well as photographed landscape and wildlife with my mirrorless camera (Sony Alpha 7III) and drone (DJI Mavic Air 2).
Now, I'm here to compile all of my adventures in one place through blogging and photography. As I set out to thru-hike the Pacific Crest Trail in the April of 2023, I am over-the-moon to share my journey on LifePacks. I have a passion for encouraging others to get out in the great outdoors, and am so glad to share my tips, tricks, and adventures with others through this blog.

Though life hasn't taken me exactly where I thought I would go over the last several years, every step of the way has been a new learning moment. Once the world was shut down during the pandemic, I recognized that my time here was too short to spend on achieving something I truly didn't want. I've always wanted to work outside of the box, meet inspiring people, see the wonder of the world, and hopefully get closer to God and Mother Earth in the process... so I dropped out of college.
I began focusing my energy into creating a productive life for myself outside of the confines of debt while also being able to explore the world, which led me to becoming inspired to hike the Pacific Crest Trail in April of 2023.
Sharing our adventures and stories is a fundamental of who we are, so in the name of the human spirit, we share a glimpse into our lives on this blue marble here on Life Packs! Please enjoy our journey, and follow along as we explore on the adventures of a lifetime!
